Begining Artist must read

I have just finished reading this book. I am an artist and I plan to give this book to young relative of mine for Christmas. It covers every aspect of drawing in an easy to understand way. I also like how the author combines other mediums with and in his drawings. The challenge to use several mediums in a single project is great. I will refer to this book many times when I work on my projects as well.
I would recommend this book to anyone, young or old, beginner or advanced who wishes to create a piece of art they can be proud to display.

I almost finished with this book and have concluded it is well worth the money.

It has a lot of information useful to the drawing student that I have not found elsewhere and I have a lot of drawing/art books.

Subjects are a quick and dirty summary except fot the demonstrations which cover maybe three pages and take you step by step through the process of makeing the drawing.

Comprehensive Guide!

Drawing has always fascinated me, and even at 60 I keep buying books like this to revive and refresh me. What is more, the tools available at the disposal of the modern artist has been expanding fast in the recent decades and therefore it is always good keep in touch with the more recent books in drawing.

The book, as the title says, is indeed a comprehensive one. The author tries to introduce the reader and the potential artist starting from the basics of drawing, gradually leading him/her to more advanced ideas, techniques, and tools. It is a progressive approach, and -- believe me -- one can become successful in drawing only if one is willing to work in a progressive manner. No one becomes an artist in a day by learning a few steps here and there in a haphazard manner.

I commend the book for its structured approach, effective communication of ideas, numerous tips, and progressive training of the potential artist. The author has covered practically everything that the reader/student needs to know and I could not find any major omissions.

I was fully rewarded by going through this book. If you have to buy a single book, I strongly recommend this as the candidate.

This book is a great compendium of current technology and business issues around MDM and CDI, with a foreword from Aaron Zornes. It provides an expert view on business drivers, architectural approaches and implementation issues. It is worth mentioning the chapter on Vendors Landscape where the authors review current market players competitive advantages. Easy to read for both business and IT managers and it has very interesting appendixes with glossary included! The book any CIO and Business Executive should read to be aware of whats going on in the MDM field.

these bookmarks come with six rings[one for each bookmark],i am obsessed with lord of the rings and have saved up for the one ring only to find that i can get six!The rings have inscriptions inside and out and even though they aren't real gold,they are made of good metal to give it a heavy effect [just like the one ring]

I love reading books and to have these book marks is just amazing. I am a Lord of the Rings Big Fan. Bookmark have pictures of Gandalf, Frodo & Sam, Treebeard,Wormtongue, Gollum and Balrog. Include six rings.

Culture Clash formed in 1984 to fill a unique role in American arts. Their nominal mission is to show cultures in opposition and, by opposing them, bring them closer together. Founded on May 5th, (Cinco de Mayo) in San Francisco's Mission District, Culture Clash is Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza. They have become the most prominent Chicano/Latino performance troupe in the country with work ranging from sketch comedy to full length plays and adaptations of Greek classics.

These hombres rock!

This is a funny collection of Culture Clash material. They are consistently funny as they point out the very real problems faced by Latino people in America. They mix history with serious satire with flat out goofiness. A great book for any thinking person.
